Shipping & Delivery
Africa Trade Portal promises 'No Anxiety Shipping' for every order you place. We bring together Packaging, Timely Delivery, Order Status Updates and support from trusted Logistics Partners — so once you've placed an order, be rest assured as we take care of everything.
How do I track my order?
You can check the status of your order anytime from your Africa Trade Portal account:
- Visit My Account or track directly at https://test.ecom.africatradeportal.com/orders/
- We send timely communication about your order status via Email / Chat when your order is confirmed, processed, shipped or delivered.
- You will also be notified if your shipment is delayed.
How long does it take to deliver after dispatch?
It usually takes between 1 to 5 days to deliver after dispatch, depending on your location and the merchant's location. Once dispatched, we will notify you with the estimated delivery date, tracking number, and courier partner details via Email / Chat.
How much do you charge for shipping?
The shipping cost, if applicable, is displayed on the product page. The amount you pay when placing an order already includes the product price and courier charges — there are no hidden fees. You are not required to pay any extra amount when picking items from the seller.
My order is out for delivery but has not arrived. What do I do?
If your order status shows "OUT FOR DELIVERY" and has not been delivered within the next 24 hours, please contact us. We will follow up with the courier partner until your order reaches you.
What do I do if my product is delivered to the wrong address?
If you discover that your package has been delivered to the wrong address, contact us immediately. We will follow up with the courier partner and notify you at the earliest possible time.
Why is my order not delivered within the expected delivery date?
Delays can occur due to your shipping address, the merchant's location, courier service capacity, or unfavourable weather conditions. You can track your shipment on the courier company's website using the tracking number sent to your registered Email / Contact number.
Why have I received only part of my order?
Since your products may be shipped from different merchants, orders with multiple products and different delivery timelines will be delivered to you separately. Each shipment will come with its own tracking details.
Why does delivery time vary from seller to seller for the same product?
Delivery timelines vary depending on the seller's location and your shipping address. A seller closer to you will generally dispatch and deliver faster than one further away.
Why is delivery time different for different products?
Delivery time varies depending on the following factors:
I am unable to track my shipment. What should I do?
Courier companies update tracking numbers on their website after the shipment is handed over to them. This can take up to 48 hours. If you recently received the shipment details, please wait and try tracking again after some time.
Can I change my shipping address?
You may request a change of address as long as the order has not been packed and made ready for shipment. You can track the status of your order from the My Account section or at https://test.ecom.africatradeportal.com/profiles-update/
- Order not yet dispatched: Change your shipping address from the My Account section or contact us at customer.support@africatradeportal.com
- Order already shipped: You can update the address in your Africa Trade Portal Address Book for future orders. Visit the Address Book page, click Edit, make your changes, and click Save.
Does Africa Trade Portal deliver internationally?
Africa Trade Portal delivers to international locations. Delivery timelines for international orders may vary depending on the destination country, customs clearance processes, and the courier partner's coverage.
What if the courier is not providing home delivery?
Contact our Customer Support team and we will get in touch with the courier service provider to arrange delivery of your product.
What is RTO (Return to Origin)?
Return to Origin (RTO) means the courier attempted to deliver your order but was unable to do so. The order is then shipped back to the merchant. Common reasons include:
Relevant Laws
The International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules of Law relating to Bills of Lading 1924 (the Hague Rules) and the UN Convention on the Carriage of Goods by Sea 1978 (the Hamburg Rules) and other relevant laws shall apply to international transactions relating to shipping and delivery between Africa Trade Portal, buyers and sellers.
